The Association for the Repair, Reinforcement and Protection of Concrete, ARPHO, welcomes its new member: Witeklab.

Witeklab is a pioneering technology consulting company in the telecommunications, electronics and embedded computing systems sector, inspired by the Internet of Things (IoT), Industry 4.0 and smart cities.

The company develops its own products and projects to provide advanced technological solutions to the needs of its customers. Above all, in the field of construction, civil works and infrastructures. Highlights include Corrochip, an innovative system that detects when a corrosion process begins in reinforced concrete, and Monsec®, a solution that takes measurements in the formwork using wireless sensors and provides accurate real-time information on the strength and maturity of the concrete in the setting process.

Its founders, Manel Torrentallé (CEO) and Ignasi Cairó (CTO), have achieved the recognition of their clients and other benchmarks in the technology industry, adapting to a changing market and even surpassing themselves to develop top-level tools.

“Our goal was to position ourselves as a technology company specialized in providing solutions for the construction and civil works sector. This sector is one of the least innovated and we were convinced that there were many things to contribute,” explains CEO Manel Torrentallé.

The startup has the collaboration and support of major universities and technology centers, such as the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.
