Witeklab had a prominent presence at Construmat 2024, the leading trade fair for the construction industry, where it had the opportunity to connect with existing customers and explore new opportunities for collaboration. The company’s expertise in sensor technology and IoT solutions for the construction industry took center stage, particularly with the presentation of its innovative Corrochip and Monsec solutions.
Ignasi Cairó Phd, CTO of Witeklab, gave two presentations that aroused great interest among attendees, one in the framework of the Sustainable Building Congress and the second at the invitation of ITeC (Institut de Tecnologia de la Construcció).
- Monitoring and Sensorics: Dr. Cairó highlighted the growing importance of data acquisition and management for construction projects and building operations. He emphasized how monitoring and sensing technologies play a crucial role in a variety of aspects, from concrete set control to indoor air quality assessment and leak and water seepage detection.
- IoT and Sensorics in the Construction Sector. Monsec and Corrochip: Delving into the trend of digitization in construction, Dr. Cairó presented the latest generation of Witeklab sensors that allow real-time monitoring of processes such as the setting of concrete in precast plants and the progression of corrosion in reinforced steel structures. These sensors collect data from inside the materials and are further processed in the cloud to provide useful information to the owners or managers of the construction site or infrastructure.
Witeklab expresses its gratitude to the Construmat organization and ITeC (Institut de Tecnologia de la Construcció) for providing them with their platforms to showcase their IoT solutions for the construction industry.
