The city of Barcelona is taking a step forward to become a Smart City, providing minute-by-minute vigilance to protect citizens from possible falling rocks.
TALIO together with the company WITEKLAB, has embarked on the path towards a digitization of the stabilization and protection systems of slopes, to turn them into intelligent elements; so they go from being pure elements of protection, to being watchful, constantly monitoring these elements to anticipate small movements, falling stones or displacements.
With this collaboration, a pilot test has begun, to partially monitor Guinardó Park; a leisure area that is protected from falling rocks by passive protection systems and rock anchors. In case of sudden movements, or rupture of these systems and/or anchors, an alarm system will send a notification, in order to carry out an intervention as quickly as possible.
